This weekend I was at the National Western Stock Show in Denver. I walked around the yards, looking at Yaks, Bison, Longhorns, and Highland cattle. I watched the draft horse and mule events, and walked through the stables while the horses were being groomed and harnessed. What an incredible treat to be able to get so close to these wonderful creatures.
I have been drawing and painting animals for several months now, and I am ready to commit to producing this type of work for my daily paintings. Today I drew mule deer at the museum. I'm not sure how the delicate lines will show up in a thumbnail, but here goes...
