8" x 10" oil, encaustic and gold leaf on panel. Here is another piece for my African animals series in encaustic. It is difficult for a photograph to capture the surface effect of the gold interacting with the translucent encaustic wax.

New Zealand Sheep Farm
This is a little farm on the Coromandel Peninsula on New Zealand's North Island. It is near Coromandel Town. What a lovely spot - lush grass, peaceful sheep - behind me was the Ocean. I longed to live there, but the next best thing was to capture it in paint.
